サウンド・インスタレーション展「Touch that Sound!」、3月15日から御茶ノ水Rittor Baseで開催
Bookings open 19 March for Touch that Sound! talk session with Shimizu
ソニー独自の空間音響技術、Sonic Surf VRを利用したサウンド・インスタレーション展「Touch That Sound!」の為に清水靖晃が「フーガの技法：コントラプンクトゥス I」を演奏しました。“バッハ/サキソフォン/スペース”コンセプトのもと、特異の感覚で録音場所に選んだのはソニー本社内の長い通路。 展示会場には6mにも及ぶ128chのマルチチャンネルスピーカーを設置。制作した音源を空間の中に自由自在に配置・移動、さらには同一空間内に複数の独立した音場を形成することが可能な最新技術を使い、清水独特の立体音響を描きます。 写真や映像には映せない体験、ぜひ現地で。
5組の参加アーティストが、それぞれ5分ほどの作品を制作。順々に上演し、約30分で全作品を体験できます。
展示期間：3月15日（金）～24日（日）

Reservations open on March 19. The conversation will focus on Shimizu's use of Sonic Surf VR technology for the staggering spatial audio he achieved on Contrapunctus I from The Art of Fugue. The music is featured in the installation Touch that Sound! opening 15 March.
