Marking its selection for the 76th ACA National Arts Festival, all five parts of this thorny comedy that satirizes modern Japanese society will rebroadcast over two (late) nights.
Musical highlights from Shimizu’s whimsical soundtrack include the fanfare theme song “Makoto’s Rhapsody” and much-“liked” (à la social media) arrangement of Bach’s “Sleepers Awake” complete with original English lyrics, “Sleepers Awake Now.”
