Yasuaki Shimizu to perform as part of “Tokyo Gen’aOn Project #19″ at Suginami Kokaido, Tokyo on Tuesday 4 July

Group Tokyo Gen'On Project range across multiple genres including contemporary music and improvised performance, with a particular focus on electronic- and computer-based audio expression. Program coordinator Masanori Oishi has invited Shimizu to feature in this performance as main guest.

 

For the concert Shimizu will arrange and perform his pentatonic piece "Asa" (2005), and "Suiren" from the solo album Kakashi. Don't miss also "Carl's Wild Garden" (created with Carl Stone for the "Just Composed in Yokohama" show in 2012 and first performed by the trio of Shimizu, Stone and Oishi) plus Shimizu and Stone in an improvised performance.
