2021年4月から放送された、NHK連続ドラマ『今ここにある危機とぼくの好感度について』のサウンドトラック。架空の名門大学を舞台に、現代社会を風刺した棘のあるブラックコメディーのストーリーはもちろんのこと、大きな話題を呼んだ音楽は清水靖晃が担当。
壮大なファンファーレのイントロで幕を開ける「Makoto’s Rhapsody」では前途多難を暗示する不穏さを、同イントロで始まる「今ここにある危機」は疾走感のなか不条理に翻弄される滑稽さをユーモラスなサウンドで聴かせてくれる。「Lost Ring」は、アルバムの為に趣を変えたピアノ旋律バージョンを収録。
次々と不祥事や問題が持ちがる大学内、右往左往する登場人物たちを天空から見守るような存在で流れていた話題曲。J.S. バ ッハの作品番号BWV645 (140)のピアノソロ「Sleepers Awake」(「目覚めよと呼ぶ声あり」という邦題でも知られています) と、同曲にオリジナルの英語詞を載せてバッハの現代版として編曲演奏した「Sleepers Awake Now」も収録している。
清水は「所々にバッハの変奏を盛り込んで、ふっとその質感がドラマ全体に浮遊するように作曲しました。今回のサウンドトラ ックは“静”と“動”が激しく移り変わります。」とコメントしている。
