米国短編ドキュメンタリー『Division』、ニューヨークで劇場上映
US short documentary Division set for weeklong New York theatrical run
清水靖晃＆サキソフォネッツのアルバム『ゴルトベルク・ヴァリエーションズ』収録曲の「アリア」が劇中で使用されている、ポール・ダラス監督による短編ドキュメンタリー『Division』。
9月12日（土）から18日（金）まで、ニューヨークにある映画館、DCTV’s Firehouse Cinemaの上映プログラム「THRESHOLDS」の一作として上映されます。
ニューヨークで暮らしてきた監督の友人が、突然この街を離れることになり、部屋に残された大切にしてきた品々を整理していく。
その過程を通して、彼がこの街で積み重ねてきた時間と人生を静かに映し出した作品。

Paul Dallas’s short documentary film Division—featuring “Aria” from the Yasuaki Shimizu & Saxophonettes album Goldberg Variations—is coming to DCTV’s Firehouse Cinema in New York.
Selected as part of the cinema’s “THRESHOLDS” program, the film will play in a weeklong run from Saturday, September 12 through Friday, September 18.
Across borders and through a smartphone lens, the director helps an abruptly self-deported close friend dismantle the life he left behind—one “keep” or “leave” decision at a time. Through the simple process of organizing these remaining belongings, Division quietly illuminates the time and life built over years spent in the city.
