NHKドラマ『お別れホスピタル2』制作開始
Production begins of NHK drama “Owakare Hospital 2”
前作、2023年の放送から時を経て、ドラマ「お別れホスピタル」の続編が決定しました。今回も清水靖晃が音楽を担当します。すでに作曲、録音に取り組んでおり、前作の質感や空気に寄り添いながら、この続編のために新たな楽曲を書き進めています。
本作は療養病棟に勤める看護師の視点を通し、誰にでも必ず訪れる最期の時間と、そこに寄り添う人々の姿を描くドラマ。患者さんの人生、家族の想い、そして限りある生のかたち。“死”を真正面から描くことで、“生”の重みや暖かさを問いかけます。
『お別れホスピタル2』は今春放送予定です。ぜひお楽しみに。

Following broadcast of “Owakare Hospital” in 2023, NHK is to make a new series of the drama, once again with music by Yasuaki Shimizu. Writing and recording are already underway, with Shimizu laying down a fresh new soundtrack that simultaneously retains a similar texture and ambience to his work for the inaugural series.
The drama portrays the end-of-life stage of universal human experience, and the people who walk alongside those on that journey, through the eyes of a nurse employed on the terminal ward.
Taking in the lives of patients, the thoughts and feelings of their families, and the inevitably limited span of our existence, “Owakare Hospital” interrogates life’s weight and warmth by depicting its end in a compassionate yet candid manner.
Look out for “Owakare Hospital 2” in spring 2026.
