米国短編ドキュメンタリー映画「Division」に清水靖晃＆サキソフォネッツの楽曲使用
Yasuaki Shimizu & Saxophonettes’ song features in US short documentary, Division
清水靖晃＆サキソフォネッツアルバム『ゴルトベルク・ヴァリエーションズ』の収録曲「アリア」 が、ポール・ダラス監督による短編ドキュメンタリー映画「ディヴィジョン」 に起用されました。
長年ニューヨークで暮らしてきた監督の友人が、突然この街を離れることになった出来事を背景に、彼が大切にしてきたコレクションを整理する時間を通して、その人生の転機を静かに見つめた作品。
本作は、ニューヨークのMoMA と Film at Lincoln Center 共催の映画シリーズ「New Directors / New Films」に招待され、ショート・プログラム1 の一作品としてワールドプレミア上映されます。

“Aria” from Yasuaki Shimizu & Saxophonettes’ album Goldberg Variations provides the soundtrack to the short documentary Division, directed by Paul Dallas.
Across borders and through a smartphone lens, a close friend in New York helps an abruptly self-deported companion dismantle the life he left behind, one “keep” or “leave” decision at a time.
Selected for the prestigious New Directors / New Films series co-presented by MoMA and Film at Lincoln Center, the film will celebrate its world premiere as part of Shorts Program 1.
